What a nice strategy in the endless browser war. Google developed a WebKit Plugin for IE which make IE use the WebKit Plattform instead of its own to show webpages. Reasons for that are many.
- Google Wave needs a fast JavaScript Engine which IE fails to offer
- Google Wave needs HTML5 which IE fails to support
The funny thing is that IE Users will in fact use a chrome browser when they think its an IE. No doubt Microsoft tries to do anything to let Chrome not into IE, but there is no more than FUD what they have to offer. And even more funny: the Chrome/IE Version is 10 times faster than the pure Microsoft one.
As soon as Google wave is out for public use, it will be adopted widely by businesses and communities. I think microsoft has lost the next battle in browse wars even before it has really begun.
